Packaging

Looking at the boost family it is evident that the newer products fail to fit in with the original boost energy range.
The logos on boost sport, active and smoothie are not in keeping to brand logo which is recognized with boost energy. The shapes of the bottles also do not match up, with unnecessary waves and curves which make them look like a completely different product all together.
Inconsistency of packaging could be bad for the brand as their current customers may view the newer products as not part of their boost brand, therefore boost is not selling all it’s products and reaching it’s full potential. I aim to change the packaging to make the newer products fit in, as well as tweaking the original packaging of boost energy to fit in with boosts developed identity and target audience.

Energy



To move this brand forward, changes have been made to the packaging to help it appeal to the newer target audience. The logo and label design have been changed to fit in with the website theme. The change that has been made is to reshape the bottle with a more delicate curvy shape to take off the “male edge”
There will also be a promotional breast cancer bottle to emphasize the products increased femininity with a strong pink colour to contradict the strong blue of the original bottles.
The metallic silver bottle has been changed as the material looked “cheap” which is what we are trying to move away from.

Active



Using the new logo, Boost active fits in with its fellow products. Secondly by changing the bottle shape to a more delicate curvy shape, helps to move the identity by taking off the “male” edge of the logo, making the product more gender neutral. The first change that was made was to make the logo/ label fit into the boost family. However the colour scheme behind the logo has adapted to indicate the flavor of the beverage. The second change was to reshape the bottle to fit in the family, the shape has been simplified into a slim lined curvy shape.


Sport



To make boost sport fit in with the boost range, the logo has been replaced with the standardised logo & design. The background colour signifies the flavor of the beverage. I have changed the shape of the bottom of the bottles to keep certain element of all bottles the same standard.
I have also added the same curves as the other bottles, while still keeping the shape of a sports bottle. This design brings the range together by keeping the logo, bottom shape and curves the same, however the sports bottle still has the sports cap allowing the drink to serve it’s purpose.


Smoothie
  

The logo has been replaced with the standardised logo & design. The background colour signifies the flavor of the beverage, I have also added the same curves as the other bottles, while still keeping the shape of a smoothie bottle.
Finally the colour of the lid has been changed to black to standardise the range.
